Las Vegas Family Photographer :: Maloff Family (Squared)

I remember taking maybe a handful of family photos. I can think of three to be exact, but I'm sure there were a couple more thrown in for good measure. I remember one with exact detail. We all lined up in Grandma's formal living room. Grandkids on the bottom row, babies in their parents laps, and all of the men lined up in the back. Sunday best, of course. I wore a dress made especially for me -- couture by Mom. It was frilled to the max, and probably had more lace than JoAnn's in the mid 80's. I tilted my head, and smiled. I smiled in all my bottle cap glasses, freckles, and crooked teeth glory. Family portraits at their finest.

Family photos have changed a bit since then. A big bit, actually. While freckle faces, bottle cap glasses, and awkward preteen crooked smiles will always exist... "the family photo" has gotten a little less stuffy. A little more fun... and thankfully, they have a little less lace.

Here are a few shots from a family session that I did a couple of weeks ago. I was beyond stoked to get to meet the beautiful Amelia, and her parents are always wonderful to catch up with!

Amelia is the younger cousin to Nolah, who has graced this blog several times. Both families got together for a few photos; hence the Maloff (squared) title. Here is a great shot of both families, and one of the sweet little cousins.
